Dipa Patel is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over eight years of experience supporting individuals on their mental health journey. She earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lewis University in 2016 and has been an active member of the Illinois Counseling Association since 2017.
Dipa takes a compassionate, evidence-based approach to therapy, working collaboratively with clients to identify their concerns, set meaningful goals, and develop practical strategies for growth. She believes in empowering clients by building on their unique strengths, values, and cultural identities, all within a safe and supportive environment.
Her focus is on helping clients embrace their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors in the present moment, while also equipping them with effective coping skills to manage challenges. Dipa values teamwork and actively involves clients’ support systems and providers to ensure lasting progress and improved daily functioning.
Throughout her career, Dipa has worked in diverse settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, schools, homes, and community programs. She specializes in working with individuals facing depression, anxiety, mood disorders, autism spectru disorder, developmental delays, and other neurodevelopmental conditions. Dipa also has experience leading group therapy sessions that help participants better understand their symptoms and explore treatment options.
